Vanessa M. Lee, ABCDT, CPCT -  Owner/Operator, Dog Trainer

As the founder and co-owner/operator of Ruff Relations, Vanessa Lee has over 7 years of dog training experience. She is a certified dog trainer, a CGC evaluator, a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), a certified pet care technician, and she has attended a Pet Saver Program where she was trained in pet first aid & CPR. She gained most of her experience assisting classes with area dog trainers for nearly 3 years and later teaching group classes at several local pet facilities. Her mentors include Marcia Ritchie of the Family Companion, Kim Sauer of Sit N' Stay Pet Services, and Jeannine Jay of the Canine Sports Complex.

Vanessa has taken courses through the Companion Animal Sciences Institute and continues to expand her knowledge of dog care & training by networking with other pet professionals and through seminars, books, and continuing education courses. She has been through a variety of dog training classes and remains active in agility with her own dogs, Sookie and Natalie. Natalie is a Canine Good Citizen and was previously a Therapy Dog, registered with Therapy Dogs International (TDI).

Danielle Reinard - Owner/Operator

Danielle gained most of her experience assisting off-leash playgroups and helping with obedience classes. It was not long before she realized that a career with dogs was in her future. Impressed with her enthusiasm and ability to read dogs, Vanessa later invited her to join Ruff Relations.

Christy Riehle - Dog Trainer

Christy has been involved in dog training since she brought home her first Weimaraner puppy in 2007. She has attended a variety of training classes throughout the years, including obedience, agility, tracking and flyball. She enjoys agility training with her two Weimaraners, Siena and Roman, and is also a member of the Buffalo Wings Flyball Team. Christy is very passionate about dog training, and will be instructing Agility Fun and Puppy classes at Ruff Relations.

Lori Coventry, CPDT-KA - Dog Trainer

Lori has always had a soft spot in her heart for dogs with "issues."  Her interest in training began when she adopted her dog, Xander.  He had more behavior issues than any dog she adopted previous and she did everything she could to help him.  She began taking as many classes she could, reading every dog training book she could get her hands on and attending seminars put on by nationally and internationally known trainers and behaviorists. After seeing how well reward based training helped Xander she made a commitment to helping others build relationships with their dogs by becoming a Certified Professional Dog Trainer.  Lori belongs to many professional organizations including the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the Pet Professional Guild, Dog Scouts of America, Doggone Safe, the National Association of Canine Scent Work and Southtowns Dog Training Club to name a few. She’s also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.  When Lori isn’t helping others train their dogs she’s working with her dogs, Daisy and Xander.  Daisy trains in competition rally and obedience, K9 Nosework and also dabbles a little in agility and tracking. Xander is spending his retirement years doing K9 Nosework.
