Our Trainers
Our trainers are experienced, friendly, and fun to work with. Both Vanessa & Christy are certified Family Dog Mediators (FDM), AKC Approved STAR Puppy/CGC/Trick Dog Evaluators and also AKC Fit Dog Instructors.
Vanessa Lee, ABCDT, FDM is a certified dog trainer and mentor trainer for Animal Behavior College and certified Family Dog Mediator, with over 18 years of professional dog training experience. She actively trains and competes with her her Australian Shepherds in many dog sports including rally, obedience, fast cat, dock diving, barn hunt, agility, and nose work and has earned numerous titles on her personal dogs.
Christy Riehle, FDM is a certified Family Dog Mediator, with over 13 years of experience as a professional dog trainer and has been teaching classes and private lessons at Ruff Relations for many years. She currently trains and competes with her own dog, Jade, in rally, obedience and agility, and has earned many titles in those sports. In the past, she also competed and titled in flyball. Christy teaches group classes on Mondays & Thursdays and also offers one on one training at our facility.
Hailey Hoskins, ABCDT, is a certified dog trainer through Animal Behavior College. Hailey has a passion for behavior modification training. This interest was ignited years ago, when she first began on her mission to help Hunter, her reactive dog. Hunter has successfully completed his CGC certification and has a TKN through American Kennel Club. Hailey also assists at Ruff Relations daycare with daytrains and group management. Having worked for years with my personal dog, and for friends and family members I am excited to start working with you all!
Emma Armbruster has always had a passion for working with animals. That passion only grew when she got her dog, Ember. Ember Sky has successfully completed her CGC and TKI certification through the American Kennel Club. The past three years Emma has been rigorously working on gathering as much knowledge as she can about dog behavior and of course training. Her passion to help animals has led her to take a Pet Professional CPR course through Ready Pet Education to ensure the safety of you and your pet.

Private Lessons
One on one training is also now available at Ruff Relations with trainer, Christy Riehle. This is a perfect option for dogs that are not suitable for group classes, those with a very specific goal in mind, or those that need to address a specific behavior issue.
Prices: $150 for the first lesson, which runs for about 1-1/2hrs and $100/lesson thereafter for follow up lessons, which run about 1hr per lesson.

Day Training @ Daycare
Add obedience training to any day of daycare. Our trainer will work with your dog one on one during the day while they are attending daycare.

Please note: We must receive payment within 24hrs of enrollment in order to reserve your place in class. Payment is your commitment to attend. Non-payment will result in unenrollment to make room for someone else.

With spring and summer around the corner, what better time to begin recall training? This class will teach you what to do when your dog unexpectedly escapes containment and how to get a reliable recall under multiple distractions. With enough practice, a reliable recall will also of course allow your dog more freedom. a reliable recall comes with a lot of training and consistent upkeep but this is a great way to start.
